Omega Holidays was established in 1980 by the parents of the current company shareholder. The company has grown each year, now employing approximately 60 staff from its Lancaster office.

The company packages and sells short breaks and holiday tours by coach, rail, air and make your own way, and is a leading provider of London Theatre breaks and other short breaks based on entertainments and events. It is the largest supplier of UK short breaks to the newspaper reader holidays market and advertises its breaks through a host of provincial newspapers throughout Britain from Aberdeen to Truro, and the south coast, as well as through the national press. In recent years Omega Holidays has developed a successful programme of flight-inclusive breaks and excursions, and offers cruises in conjunction with leading cruise operator Royal Caribbean International.
In 2009, Omega Holidays carried in excess of 118,000 passengers – approximately 110,500 on UK tours and approximately 7,500 on European holidays (including cruising) and flight-inclusive breaks.
In April 2004, Omega Holidays was named by The Independent on Sunday and international accountancy firm Deloitte & Touche as one of the top 100 fastest-growing companies in the UK, over a 5 year period.
Omega Holidays is a fully-bonded member of ABTA (V4782) and holds an ATOL licence (6081).
